Presentations and Town Halls

Project Promise puts a spotlight on those issues that impact you and your family the most. Sometimes we apply that focus through a town hall or in private presentations

 to church groups, and other organizations. If your group or organization would like to book a free multi-media  presentation please email us portageprojectpromise@gmail.com.  

Here is a list of our presentations.  Most of our presentations are 30 to 45 minutes in length. We have other presentations that are 5 to 10 minutes.  In most cases we can adjust a presentation specific to your needs.

Garretsville Rotary Club - Project Promise officially launches the SOAR Project as its own 501(c)(3) .   Garretsville Rotary kindly hosted an informational session on both organizations.

ESG -  Environmental. Social. Governance.  Do you know it's impact?

4,000 jobs were lost to it in May 2023 alone. Now ESG has arrived in Portage and with it comes an ushering in of regulation and sacrifice. Our presentation gives an overview of that sacrifice and what you can do about it.

Silhouettes Exhibit:

Teaming with KayFal Productions, the Breaking Chains Silhouettes Exhibit represents the children still in the shadows of sexual abuse.  These children don't have a voice so we become their voice through child size wooden silhouettes with  facts dispelling the myths of human trafficking adhered to them.  Sometimes this exhibit is performed with live actors. 

 Perpetrators silence their victims through intimidation, manipulation, coercion, threats, and blame in order to maintain power and control. These emotional manipulations are as powerful as handcuffs. These are the metaphoric change that bind.

 The victimization of children doesn't happen in a vacuum. Our society commercializes, desensitizes, and normalizes the sexualization of children every day. From advertising, current music trends, or social media, we are a culture putting our children at risk. When society doesn't call out these exploitative methods, it desensitizes our culture, and it helps sexual predators feel embolden. It shows victims no one will stand up for them or help, or worse it's suggest their sexual abuse is normal.
