About PROJECT PROMISE
As stated on our home page, Project Promise is a 501 (c)(4) organization founded in June 2021 by a group of engaged Portage County citizens who are concerned about the direction of America. We believe that all change begins on the local level, and strive to make Portage County a better place to raise our families.
When grassroots organizations challenge the status quo, resistance is inevitable. Those in power often push back to maintain control. At Project Promise, we don’t chase headlines or seek photo ops. Our leaders don’t seek the spotlight because the spotlight belongs where it matters most—on the issues that impact you. Real change doesn't happen in front of cameras. It happens in front of the people we serve.

By focusing on education, advocacy, and direct community support, Project Promise transforms confusion into clarity, frustration into action, and challenges into opportunities for meaningful change.

Project Promise educates the community through direct engagement, accessible resources, and advocacy efforts. Our approach includes:
- Workshops & Forums – We host events like the Property Tax Reform Summit to inform residents about critical issues, such as tax policies and homeowner relief programs.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
Project Promise also believe that community service is an essential component of a thriving community. Our organization takes part in numerous community service events throughout the county. By participating in these events, we are able to connect with others, and see first-hand the needs in our community.
