About PROJECT PROMISE

As stated on our home page, Project Promise is a 501 (c)(4) organization founded in June 2021 by a group of engaged Portage County citizens who are concerned about the direction of America. We believe that all change begins on the local level, and strive to make Portage County a better place to raise our families.

When grassroots organizations challenge the status quo, resistance is inevitable. Those in power often push back to maintain control. At Project Promise, we don’t chase headlines or seek photo ops. Our leaders don’t seek the spotlight because the spotlight belongs where it matters most—on the issues that impact you.  Real change doesn't happen in front of cameras.  It happens in front of the people we serve.

ISSUE ADVOCACY

At Project Promise, we believe that real change happens by delivering the promise of fairness, transparency, and support to the communities we serve. By focusing on education, advocacy, and direct community support, Project Promise transforms confusion into clarity, frustration into action, and challenges into opportunities for meaningful change.

  • Community Meetings – We bring people together for discussions on local challenges and solutions, ensuring that everyone has a voice in shaping policy. Learn more about our 2021 Human Trafficking Awareness Town Hall.
  • Informational Materials – From digital brochures to simplified guides on complex topics online scams, we make information easy to understand and apply.
  • One-on-One Assistance – We connect with community members directly, helping them navigate bureaucratic processes that impact their lives.
  • Media Outreach – Through social media, newsletters, and partnerships with local media, we spread awareness and keep the public informed about key issues. Visit our YouTube channel for an array of video topics.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Project Promise also believe that community service is an essential component of a thriving community. Our organization takes part in numerous community service events throughout the county. By participating in these events, we are able to connect with others, and see first-hand the needs in our community.

OuR Mission

Project Promise is a 501 (c)(4) organization founded in June 2021 by a group of  engaged Portage County citizens who are concerned about the direction of America.   We were inspired by the ideals of our founding fathers and their vision for America

When George Washington, and his fellow founding fathers put together their plan for America, they envisioned a shining city on a hill, where all men are created equal under the eyes of God. They believed America should be the land of opportunity, where you can achieve your dreams through hard work and perseverance. This is the American dream, and it remains as important today, as it did at the Constitutional Convention.

At Project Promise, we seek to support and promote these promises our nation was founded upon.  We believe improving our country starts right here at home, through issue advocacy, education outreach  community service, and legislation reform. We are committed to supporting and uplifting our neighbors and helping them achieve their true God given potential and seek to help foster a more  prosperous America for all.
