Amendment Status Update
When you eliminate property tax, you also eliminate the massive administrative machinery that props it up — auditors, collections, appeals, appraisals. That money doesn’t just disappear. It can be repurposed. And here’s the kicker — if we really started reviewing the waste in government spending, especially at the administrative level, we’d find more than enough to shift burdens without breaking the backs of homeowners..Most likely it will consist of a hybrid of funding mechanisms already in place.
