BIG UPDATE on the Property Tax Ballot Initiative
The initiative to END Property Taxes in Ohio will NOT appear on the upcoming 2026 primary ballot.
Instead, it is aimed for the November 2026 General Election ballot. All required petition signatures must be submitted to the Ohio Attorney General no later than July 1, 2026.
This will be a major ballot issue in a Governor’s race year—and notably, no candidate currently running has embraced the platform to end property tax. In fact, Vivek has stated publicly that his plan is only to “cap property taxes”—not end them. This preserves the system while pretending to fix it. Ohio families deserve more than half-measures. They deserve the security of knowing their home is truly theirs. Real change can only happen when YOU—the people—make your voices heard.
This is a long game—and we’re playing to win. If you’d like to help us gather signatures in Portage County or beyond, please email us at portageprojectpromise@gmail.com.
At festivals Republican tents promoted Ax Ohio Tax petitions—until Vivek Ramaswamy arrived. Then petitions were hiddden. Why did the GOP conceal a grassroots effort from the party’s rising star? Which GOP leaders think they can quietly play both sides? The Pulse investigates Ramaswamy's plan for Ohio, exposing decades of GOP policy—and why some local Republican groups are breaking ranks to back
On September 2nd, Ravenna City Council agreed to spend $1.025 million to acquire Sunbeau Valley Farm, longtime home of the Balloon A-Fair. The city frames the move as “historic preservation” and a chance to expand recreation and cultural programming. The question lingers: was this acquisition a strategic act of civic stewardship—or an indulgence bought with other people’s money?
Project Promise unleashes The Pulse—a fearless news e-zine that rips through the spin and lights up Ohio’s darkest corners. We’re digging deep, exposing the culprits, and serving raw, unfiltered truth straight to you.
You have to ask yourself—what does it mean to own something? We've been conditioned to believe that homeownership comes with strings—that it’s normal to live under the threat of seizure by the very system meant to protect your rights. That belief is dangerous. It teaches learned helplessness and undermines the foundational principle of Western civilization: that the individual has sovereignty, and that sovereignty includes private
property.

YOU CAN'T END PROPERTY TAX OR SCHOOLS WILL CEASE TO EXIST! Right? This deck provides funding alternatives in under 60seconds. Schools don’t vanish when we rethink outdated funding models—they just get funded differently. Other states are already doing it. Let this be the beginning of a thoughtful conversation, not a campaign of fear. It's time we stop the hysteria and start looking at what’s possible.

Lou can’t afford to stay in his home.
His wife is battling cancer—and he is actually told, “Just move her.”
This is the reality too many of our neighbors face. It's why we’re fighting to end property tax —because no one should be forced out of their home.

Maybe you’ve lost your home. Maybe you’re barely holding it together. Property taxes are quietly crushing families, seniors, and working people across our communities.
We want to tell these stories—not to sensationalize suffering, but to speak the truth. Because when honest people stay silent, injustice wins.
We’re creating a presentation series to spotlight the real impact of runaway property taxes. We don’t need your name or your face. We just need your words. Your voice. Your courage.
Tell the truth.
Message us to share—confidentially, respectfully, and powerfully. PortageProjectPromise@gmail.com

Project Promise is a 501 (c)(4) organization founded in June 2021 by a group of engaged Portage County citizens who are concerned about the direction of America. We were inspired by the ideals of our founding fathers and their vision for America
When George Washington, and his fellow founding fathers put together their plan for America, they envisioned a shining city on a hill, where all men are created equal under the eyes of God. They believed America should be the land of opportunity, where you can achieve your dreams through hard work and perseverance. This is the American dream, and it remains as important today, as it did at the Constitutional Convention.
At Project Promise, we seek to support and promote these promises our nation was founded upon. We believe improving our country starts right here at home, through issue advocacy, education outreach community service, and legislation reform. We are committed to supporting and uplifting our neighbors and helping them achieve their true God given potential and seek to help foster a more prosperous America for all.
